The Crossover Endurance Team is made up of student athletes, 1st grade-12th grade. We will educate you on the sport of running and reaching your full God-given potential. Our team will meet throughout the year with options available to participate in various seasons or for the entire year. We look forward to you running with us!

Title-Details
Crossover Endurance Team co-ed running groups will compete in road races, cross-country races,USATF, and AAU meets. Practices will last 75 minutes, 2-3 times per week
Games and fun activities will be incorporated in practices.
Races will be scheduled throughout the season.


Divisions

  • Grades 1st-2nd - (3k max race distance)
  • Grades 3rd-5th - (3k-5k max race distance)
  • Grades 6th-8th - 3.1 mile (5k), 6.2 mile (10K)
  • Grades 9th-12th- 3.1/6.2 mile, half-marathon options

Cost: $55/season

Fees include:

  • Crossover "singlet"- race day shirt.
  • Crossover Endurance Team t- shirt
  • Weekly stretching, nutrition, fitness and running coaching
  • Weekly inspirational and running devotionals

Runners will have the opportunity to earn different color shoe laces based on their dedication and commitment to the sport of running. Here's a little breakdown of our incentives.

red Shoelace 1 season complete
Orange Shoelace 2 seasons complete
Purple Shoelace 4 seasons complete (1 year)
gray Shoelace 6 seasons complete
Green Shoelace 8 seasons complete (2 years)
Blue Shoelace 12 seasons complete (3 years)
Red/Black Shoelace 16 seasons complete (4 years)

Gold Shoelace Service project completed
Pink Shoelace Most improved female (4 seasons complete)
Sky Blue Shoelace Most improved male (4 seasons complete)
Zebra Shoelace Female runner of the year*
Camo Shoelace Male runner of the year*
Yellow/Black Shoelace Half-marathon completed
Tie Dye Shoelace Summer program completed

* Athlete who has shown the most dedication to the sport of running through race, practice attendance, and shown the best sportsmanship to his/her teammates. Voted on by the other athletes.




Seasonal Calendar

Spring Season
(March- May)

  • Palmetto Half-Marathon
    (April 15 & 16, 2011)
  • 1 mile road race event
    Grades 1-5
    Middle/High school (1 mile or 5k)
  • Jailbreak 5k
    (May 28, 2011)

Fall Season
(September - November)

Registration begins August 1, 2011 Lexington Cross Country Season

  • Grades 1-5 will participate in XC races at Lexington High School before the school cross country meets.
  • Grades 6-8 will participate in various XC events and road races
  • Grades 9-12 will participate in various XC events and road races

Summer Season
(June - August)

Registration begins May 1, 2011 Summer training will target maintaining fitness through the summer. We will incorporate different types of training from swimming, biking, running, etc.

  • Two session workout at The Bodyshop (two Saturdays)
  • Optional Week long Running Camp ($25.00)
  • Born in the USA four miler
    Two person team relay

Winter Season
(November-January)

Registration begins October 1, 2011

  • USATF Junior Olympics XC National Championship in Myrtle Beach
